Current Opportunities
Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented students to serve as Upstream Logistics Student Interns, with a focused responsibility of supporting the planning and execution of the Upstream program.
This internship is designed for students who desire to serve the Church by helping bring a national program to life, working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth, organized, and meaningful experience for all participants.
Role Overview
The Upstream Logistics Student Interns will work collaboratively to support all logistical aspects of the Upstream program, from early planning through on-site execution.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning and ministry operations. The interns will work closely with OCF staff and the Upstream spiritual advisor, contributing to both the development and execution of the program. While interns will take ownership of key tasks, they will do so in close collaboration with staff, regularly seeking input, guidance, and approval.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Preparation (Summer-Fall)
- Become familiar with the vision, structure, and goals of the Upstream program
- Assist in coordinating speakers, including outreach, communication, and scheduling
- Collaborate with OCF staff and the Upstream spiritual advisor in brainstorming program content
- Support registration processes and communication with participants
- Assist with scholarship coordination and basic financial tracking
- Help plan transportation, travel, and other logistical needs
- Organize and track key details to ensure all aspects of the program are moving forward
Program Execution (January)
- Help lead on-site logistics during the Upstream program
- Manage check-in, setup, transitions, and teardown
- Coordinate transportation and respond to real-time logistical needs
- Serve as a point of contact for participants, speakers, and staff
- Assist in maintaining an organized, smooth, and well-run program environment
Post-UPSTREAM Wrap-Up (January)
- Assist with post-event follow-up and communication
- Help organize materials, notes, and logistical records for future use
- Participate in debrief and evaluation of the program
Timeline & Commitment
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
- End Date: End of January 2027 (following Upstream and post-event debrief)
- Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week.
Required Participation
- Attend Ignite (August 10–14, 2026) for onboarding, training, and collaboration
- All travel and participation costs will be covered by OCF
- Attend UPSTREAM (January 1-5, 2027)
- All travel and participation costs will be covered by OCF
- Participate in weekly check-ins with OCF staff
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate student (ages 18–25)
- Active participant in the life of the Orthodox Church
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, clergy, and speakers
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and timelines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willingness to take initiative while also collaborating closely with staff
- Reliable, responsible, and responsive
- Prior involvement in OCF strongly preferred
- Event planning or administrative experience is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities

- Write and coordinate email campaigns to students, clergy, and parishes
- Collaborate with OCF staff to refine messaging and outreach

- Gather and organize media assets (photos, videos, testimonials)
- Assist in refining website and landing page content
- Capture high-quality photography and videography during the UPSTREAM program
- Support on-site content needs and overall program execution
Post-UPSTREAM Follow-Up (January-February)
- Edit and organize photo and video assets for future use
- Develop and publish post-event recap content (social media and email)
- Participate in debrief and evaluation of marketing efforts
Timeline & Commitment

- End Date: Mid-February 2027 (following UPSTREAM and post-event content development)
- Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week.

- Demonstrated experience creating content for social media, particularly Instagram
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content planning tools
- Experience or familiarity with photography and videography
- Ability to think creatively and take ownership of a project from strategy to execution
- Organized and able to manage multiple timelines
- Willingness to collaborate with staff and collaborate with creative teams
- Prior involvement in ministry communications preferred, but not required

Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is seeking a dedicated and creative student to serve as a Virtual Programs Student Intern, with a focused responsibility of developing and implementing OCF’s national Great Lent virtual programming.
This internship is designed for a student who desires to serve the Church by creating meaningful, engaging, and spiritually rich opportunities for Orthodox college students to live Great Lent more intentionally.
Role Overview
The Virtual Programs Student Intern will take ownership of OCF’s Great Lent virtual initiatives, with a primary focus on strengthening and expanding two existing programs: Day of Prayer and Spiritual Wake Up.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the way Orthodox students across the country engage in prayer, reflection, and community during Great Lent. The intern will work closely with OCF staff while exercising creativity and leadership in reimagining and executing these programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Vision
- Develop a cohesive vision and theme for OCF’s Great Lent virtual programming by September
- Reimagine and strengthen existing programs while identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
- Collaborate with OCF staff, clergy, and contributors to shape spiritually grounded and engaging content
Day of Prayer (National Initiative)
- Plan and execute a fully realized 24-hour Day of Prayer at the start of Great Lent
- Ensure participation from OCF chapters across all 24 hours
- Explore and implement ways to make the Day of Prayer more visible and engaging (ex, livestreaming, broader participation, involvement of clergy and monasteries)
- Coordinate communication, sign-ups, and scheduling for participating chapters
Spiritual Wake Up (Daily Lenten Program)
- Develop and produce a full 40-day sequence of daily Lenten messages
- Ensure content is thoughtful, theologically sound, and spiritually impactful
- Collaborate with OCF staff and clergy for content review and contributions
- Coordinate and conduct in-person visits with selected speakers to record video content (including up to four flights and additional local travel)
- Oversee the collection, editing, and final presentation of all video content in collaboration with OCF’s design and media team
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery of all messages throughout Great Lent
Timeline & Commitment
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
- End Date: Conclusion of Great Lent 2027
- Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per week.
Key Milestones:
- Program theme and direction finalized by September
- All core content completed by January
- January through Great Lent focused on scheduling, promotion, and execution
Required Participation
- Attend Ignite (August 10–14, 2026) for onboarding, training, and collaboration
- All travel and participation costs will be covered by OCF
- Participate in weekly check-ins with OCF staff
- Travel for content development, including multiple trips throughout the year (OCF will cover all approved travel expenses)

- Organized and capable of managing a long-term project independently
